Although I am not averse to pre-ground coffee, I chose to generally grind my coffee beans myself. The choice for a small, manual coffee grinder led me, after some comparative research, to the Porlex Mini II grinder.
The Porlex is made in Japan and it has to be said that it is not exactly the cheapest hand grinder. But price-wise, it is still on the cheaper side of the more expensive models (yes, there are models that are more than twice as expensive). I paid € 76.80 ($ 90.05 or £ 65.54), shipping included, through the German online shop of Coffee Circle in Berlin.
